Job Description

You will be a part of seasoned, highly qualified team that performs geotechnical and materials engineering, Construction Materials Testing (CMT), and CEI services for some of the most highly complex and transformational infrastructure projects in our region. Core Responsibilities

  • Performs material takeoffs, cost estimates, and profitability analyses; evaluate project feasibility based on location, available resources, and financial considerations.

  • Conduct construction inspections and perform material sampling and testing in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

  • Prepares or oversee the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, testing schedules, and project designs.

  • Conduct field inspections, provides training and guidance to CMT technicians, and supports office, laboratory, and field operations as needed.

  • Supports projects from proposal through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are consistently met.

  • Maintains effective communication with clients, contractors, and senior staff as needed.

  • Performs engineering-related calculations and drafting tasks to support project documentation.

  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS. Master's degree in engineering or a Master of engineering degree from an institution that offers a Bachelor of Science degree, in the same discipline, which has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

  • 0-5 years of professional experience

  • Valid US driver's license at the time of application.

  • Proficiency with computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) systems

  • Knowledge of inspection methods, procedures, and techniques applicable to construction and engineering projects.

  • Understanding of materials and testing practices used in highway, bridge, and commercial construction.

  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles in practical field and design scenarios.

  • Maintaining a safe and effective working relationship with others
