Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform field work related to environmental, due diligence, remediation, and industrial hygiene projects in California.

  • Prepare boring logs, document monitoring well construction details, and other field generated data, and collect soil, soil gas, and groundwater samples using a variety of equipment and under varying field conditions.

  • Work closely with Senior Project Managers to perform requested client/project tasks in both a field and office setting.

  • Actively participate in professional and technical organizations appropriate for core skill set and client needs.

  • Positively interact with internal and external clients, service partners, and contractors.

  • Promote a safety-first culture that values proactive measures and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables.

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Geography, or related applied science.

  • 1–5 years of environmental consulting experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.

  • Safety conscious and able to comply with Atlas safety standards.

  • Ability to drive, travel, and work out of town (50–70%).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Strong time management, organization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with high integrity and work ethic.

  • Strong problem-solving, scientific evaluation, technical, and quantitative aptitude.

  • Ability to pass drug screen and motor vehicle background check.

  • 40-hr HAZWOPER and annual 8-hr refresher preferred.

  • Prepare boring logs and well diagrams; operate sampling equipment; familiarity with USDA soils and groundwater monitoring.

About the Job

  • Career Level: Entry
  • Employment Type: Part-time
  • Compensation: $22 - $25 hourly rate
    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
