Construction Quality Manager

We are seeking a Construction Quality Manager to join our Duluth, GA team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage quality control and quality assurance management plans for large complex transportation projects.
  • Manage and oversee construction quality activities, such as Construction Engineering and Inspection, materials testing, and construction record keeping.
  • Work will require knowledge of construction and engineering principles related to the construction and maintenance of highways, streets, retaining walls, and bridges.
  • Assist with the identification and rectification of nonconforming work and management of the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) system.
  • Assist with the identification and improvement of processes and remedy of issues that produce, or may produce, systemic nonconforming work.
  • Work to continuously improve the construction quality control/quality assurance program.
  • Maintain, monitor, and track all quality control documents and quality management records as required by the quality management plan and contract requirements.
  • Ensure project compliance with the quality management plan and with federal, state, local regulations, as well compliance with ISO 9001 guidelines and other appropriate quality standards
  • Develop and implement quality training for new personnel.
  • Maintaining an awareness of safety and health requirements and assuring compliance with applicable regulations and construction contract provisions for the protection of the public and construction project personnel.
  • Performing and assisting in all aspects of required office construction engineering work including setting up and maintaining project files, processing documents and progress payments, as necessary.
  • Manage and lead in the planning and implementation of audits on subcontractors, suppliers, and internal processes to assess compliance with the quality management plan, as well a regulatory requirement.
  • Attend construction and quality meetings as required.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • 5 Years of related experience on design build transportation projects
  • PE license or ability to obtain
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Quality Auditor

Technical requirements:

  • Strong understanding of construction engineering principles, highway and bridge construction, and materials testing.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality standards and quality management systems.
  • Ability to develop and implement Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) plans.
  • Experience managing Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) systems.
  • Skills in conducting audits of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and training.

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Shall possess a valid Georgia Driver's license.
  • Shall abide by Atlas health and safety policies and procedures.
