EIR Field Technician

We are seeking a Environmental Investigation & Remediation Field Technician to join our Bartlett, TN team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide Field Services for Underground Storage Tank (UST) program projects from initiation through closure, including assessment, remediation, and operations & maintenance (O&M).
• Work within project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while maintaining strong client and regulatory relationships.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure project success.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.• Provide field and office support for retail petroleum environmental projects.
• Role will be 95% field work (outside), requiring travel across the state of Tennessee. Specific duties will include: Inspections, Groundwater Sampling, Soil Borings & Sampling, Air Sampling, Construction activities when installing or decommissioning petroleum remediation systems and tank removal activities.
• Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions
• Candidate may be asked to work extended hours, when required and on short notice.
• Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, several times per day
• Due to client requirements, the candidate must pass a company background check, including driving record, and drug screening.

Minimum requirements:

• High School diploma required, Bachelor of Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related degree preferred.
• No experience required but prefer at least 1-2 years of UST petroleum experience (experience in Tennessee is a plus)
• Valid driver's license required as field work and local site travel is involved
• Experience working within a state reimbursement program (Tennessee experience preferred)
• Hands-on experience with soil, groundwater, and air sampling
• Postgraduate education may substitute for up to 2 years of experience

Technical requirements:

• Excellent documentation, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in time management and detail-oriented under tight deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations will be required but training is provided
• Ability to comprehend and follow field sampling programs and work packages
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and related applications
• Must be able to enter, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form
• Communicate with contractors and staff effectively and professionally
• Should be able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established deadlines
• Should have competent computer knowledge including Microsoft Office

Other miscellaneous qualities:

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville, Jackson, or Memphis metro areas (this is not a remote position).
• Willingness to travel locally (80–95%) with occasional overnight stays depending on project location. (This is primarily a Field Services Position Traveling to multiple sites in any given week)
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to company safety protocols.
