Job Description

The National Retail & Multi-Site Market Leader is a senior business development and market-building leader responsible for establishing and scaling Atlas’s position as the premier provider of integrated environmental, geotechnical, construction QA/QC, and EHS services for national retail and multi-site clients.

This role drives both expansion within existing key accounts and acquisition of new national logos, leveraging existing client relationships and market credibility. Atlas brings a well-established and growing footprint in the national retail and multi-site market, with a strong base of Fortune 500 clients. This role offers the opportunity to build on that momentum—joining a highly experienced, high-performing team with a proven track record of delivering for complex, multi-location portfolios. The successful candidate will help position Atlas as a true lifecycle partner, supporting clients across their full real estate strategy—from new site development to the renovation and optimization of existing assets. With national reach and integrated service capabilities, this role is uniquely positioned to drive meaningful growth by expanding existing relationships and securing new marquee clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Market & Growth Leadership
    • Establish and execute a national go-to-market strategy
    • Track competitor strategies in retail/multi-site
    • Identify emerging client needs (ESG, electrification, redevelopment)
    • Shape Atlas’s differentiated position as a lifecycle partner
    • Drive cross-selling coordination across service lines
  • Revenue Growth & Pipeline Development
    • $3M–$5M qualified pipeline in Year 1
    • $1M new hard backlog in Year 1
    • Maintain accurate CRM entries and forecasting throughout opportunity lifecycle
  • Client Development
    • Bring existing national relationships to Atlas
    • Build executive-level relationships with Atlas’ key clients
    • Develop and own multi-year account plans for top clients
    • Establish account governance cadence (QBRs, exec check-ins)
  • Team Building
    • Hire 2–5 seller-doers for this market in Year 1 into the business
    • Develop team sales/utilization targets and onboarding plan to accelerate growth
    • Mentor and grow sales talent
  • Platform Development and Marketing
    • Create repeatable, scalable service offering
    • Create strategic alliances that feed national portfolios
    • Lead pursuit strategy and engage hands-on in proposals for this market
    • Negotiate MSAs, national contracts, and program agreements
    • Drive margin strategy and pricing consistency
    • Partner with operations to ensure consistent delivery across geographies

About the Job

  • Career Level: Director
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Compensation: $175,000 - $250,000 annual salary
    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
